How would you like your ending?

What is with all these lovey dovey ending ideas? Is romance really all that important? Besides, I think Ashe had more feelings for Balthier than Basch. The way she cried out for him in the ending... how can you not see it? Though oddly enough, I agree that Vaan's outfit should have changed as well.

Also, Renmiri... I don't think RW is going to be a continuation of XII's story. It's looking to be it's own seperate entity so I doubt anything you want from XII to be resolved will actually be resolved. Poor people of Mt. Burimasce Although XII does take place in a era of monarchy's and royal families and that does make me wonder if any of our own historical royales ever apologized for anything they did...

I don't remember Spain ever apologizing for wiping out a few nations, or England ever apologizing for the attacks on Panama, or even France apologizing for Napoleon's actions. Not to metion everything that Rome pulled.

I really think she was just concerned for a comrade that's about to sacrifice his life. The scene was a bit OTT but what do you expect? It's the ending, there has to be some screeching and loud explosions and whatnots. I believe more what Penelo's letter hinted at that Ashe misses Basch. How can you miss that? After playing RW, I'm more inclined to believe that's the case.

About RW: No, it doesn't resolve everything in XII. You have to take into account that this game was developed for people who are new to RPG and might not have played an FF before much more FFXII. That's why the devs have been careful about calling it a sequel because newbies might think you have to play XII to understand RW. It's definitely a sequel, but I would rather call it a stand-alone game (and story) but with FFXII characters.

I would love a "proper" sequel to XII. There has been a rumour that they might do it but it has been very quiet SE's end lately.
