....Because my car got stolen today! yay!

Though, seriously, because I don't know if people will understand that I really don't 'mind' that the car I drive (it's under my parents name legally) was stolen today, my car was stolen today.

What happened was my brother drove me to work so he can go to a mall's parking lot to go to his work. I took the bus to the mall after work and met my brother. We go upstairs....where's the car? My brother parked it right here, he says, and we walk around a little and conclude that we should report it.

Security doesn't find it, so we report it stolenz.

My brother has been musing about the idea of buying a scooter actually, but not regarding this incident, just in general.

My brother's girlfriend wants me to get a mini cooper. I seem to be able to get a used one for 13000$ (USD? Ah it's almost the same either way)

I personally would prefer an american car, which goes against most people's views of what is economical and environmentally conscious.

In the end, I'll leave it to my parents to decide.

My friend once called the cops and reported her car stolen, but her car actually has one of those tracking thingys on it and it turned out that her car was parked in another level of the parking structure and she had just mixed up where she thought she had parked it. I made fun of her a ton for that.

I think she was referring to Big D's comment that it should be 1/10th the amount PG posted.

My Uncle and Aunt recently bought a used 2006 Mini Cooper S and they paid like $19,000 for it. So $13,000 isn't bad for a used Mini. $1,300 for a used Mini would be an INCREDIBLE deal, so I think Big D must live in crazy land if he can get a Mini for that price.

I test drove a Mini Cooper Convertible. I looked darn cute driving it, but the ride isn't really that comfortable, and the steering is a lot more stiff than I'm used to. It really is an adorable car though.

He means the new one not the original 60's mini cooper. (now often reffered to as the mini cooper classic) Though there is a point to old mini coopers, over here in the uk insurance is insanely cheap if the car is counted as a classic car which means the car just needs to be 25 years old or more. Downside 25 year old cars need lots of work to pass an mot and if you crash it and it's a write off then the payout is crap better to just swallow the big payments and high insurance and get the new mini cooper model.
