Maechen

Who else here really loved Maechen's stories. They really made Spira feel like it could actually be a real place. He had the perfect voiceover in the NA version. I always look for Maechen whenever I play Final Fantasy X! He was really interesting!

I agree! Maechan's stories make you feel like Spira has a real and vibrant history!
One of his stories in Leblanc's chateau with Shuyin's theme playing in the background gave me chills!

Even though the main characters gave the story a lot of depth, the minor and secondary characters added a huge amount of realism to Spira. It's rare to find a game that is nearly perfect! The onlt thing that I didn't like was thatAuron didn't get to come back to Spira like Tidus did!!

Maechen is awesome. I loved how he explained everything really well. I haven't played X-2 yet, but he was cool in X.

it really shows that the developers put a lot of thought into the events that led up to the game and it's stories. although i think square always manages this (7's neibelheim background. 8's laguna stuff. 9's . . . ummm . . . and now maechen )

I always talked to Maechen every time I could. He added background story for the different areas he is (Macalania, Mt. Gagazet, Zanarkand, etc). You could actually learn a thing or two of Spira from Maechen.
