For future reference it's easiest to make a paste of water & baking soda, rub into burnt area, and let it sit for an hour or so.

Shlup has it. Don't listen to anyone else. Might need to let it sit a bit longer, because that's some serious business burn right there. Don't scrap at it,you'll just end up damaging the pot.

I find it awesome that women had the best answer so far. All I say is, don't F up in the first place. But them girls know there way around the kitchen. /cheers on
