The PS2 will most definately be standing along side my 360 and PS3 for years to come. That console took crap from nobody. Furthermore, I refuse to take crap from anyone who bashes that system for anything except it reliability.
Odin Sphere proves the PS2 is still the best system available for now. That and my library of over 60 PS2 games anyway.
Even in reliability, my old PS2 was a workhorse!!! Still is working, even being abused by my 8 year old

My PS2 is currently hooked up to my T.V., along with my Dreamcast. I haven't touched much of the PS2's library, so it has much life in it to me.
I still play mine regularly, which I can't say for the Gamecube or X-Box. It had its faults, but the PS2 was a quality console with a great library of games. I'll be happy to hold off buying a next-gen system for another year or so, and just playing through some of the games in the PS2's back catalogue that I missed first time around.

I still play mine and it's kept me from buying any next-gen systems because...I just haven't needed to yet. They keep coming out with good titles for a system I already own.
It seems each Ps2 game that gets good reviews is "This is the Ps2's swan song!" I've read about the final good Ps2 game about 10 times on IGN. It will be around for longa time
My PS2 can be considered one of my best friends/consoles. It has always been there for me in my times of need, and the title of this thread even insults me, as someone could joke/refer to it as "Sucking".

The PS2 Emulation scene is really beginning to blossom. Most games are playable, which is really nifty.
