Dissidia Characters - in your opinion!

so here's the deal

i'm uber excited for Dissidia Final Fantasy, and what better forum to discuss this then General Final Fantasy, seeing as it contains all of them.

so what i want to do here is simple : List 8 sets of characters, with their villian counterparts (villian choice is up to you, it doesn't have to be the main bad guy)

format is like this : Hero - Villian

be sure not to repeat from games, or use characters they are already implementing. So no sephiroth, zidane, kuja, cloud (i'm assuming) or the light warrior or garland. That also means no ff9, ff7, or ff1 characters - unless you wish they would replace them, then by all means go ahead and give me your opinion.
