harvest moon DS and animal crossing : wild worlds

im thinking of getting harvest moon, i have animal crossing i was wondering if it is too similar. are they diferent or too much like each other?

They're similar and different at the same time. The major differences are that Harvest Moon is not in real-time, and Harvest Moon has a clearer 'goal'.

I don't think Harvest Moon is nearly as addicting as Animal Xing, mostly because of the real-time thing.

In HM, you have to grow vegetables and take care of animals and stuff, like a farm, which is different from Animal Xing. There's a HM spinoff coming out soon that adds some random battles, but I don't know/care too much about it even after playing it a bit (in Japanese).

As a game, I enjoyed Animal Crossing a lot more than Harvest Moon, but neither are really my kind of game.
