Default Moero! Neketsu Rhythm Damashii! Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2

Just got this game today and I already beat the normal mode.

As with it's predecessor it is, in a word, fairly amazing.

The new cheer squad may be more bishounen, but their commander is extremely manly so that makes up for it. And he has a cape.

The stages are the same nonsensical weirdness the first one had. This game is very, unabashedly Japanese.

Oh, and it has a Left-handed feature! I'm not sure if the first game had it but I never found it. This makes me happy. Very happy.

Anyway, those of you who own a DS, it's definitely worth importing if you have the means. Even if it's all in Japanese, the storylines are generally fairly easy to understand and completely hilarious.

Quendan 2 On Display In Japan - GameBrink.Com

Take a look--it's the Elite Beat Agents *IN* Ouendan 2. Unfortunately, I think this is only available as a download in Japan and not something normally unlockable in-game. I'd have loved to be able to have the Agents in my game.

The Ouendan series (all 3 of 'em) are some of my favourite games on the DS. I recognized quite a few of the songs this time around as well, from anime and other games I'd played. The first song you play was actually part of the expansion pack for another DS game, 'Daigasso! Band Brothers' a couple of years ago. Other songs I recognized immediately were from Eureka 7, Densha Otoko, the NANA movie and Monkey Magic(!). A couple of the other songs I'd heard previously on internet radio stations.

I have all the songs on my iPod now You can find torrents of the 'soundtrack' for both games (and probably EBA too).

I was also pleased to see that they included support for the DS Rumble pack, which EBA did as well.

I got a perfect on Sekai wa Sore wo Ai to Yobundaze on Cheer Girl/Blind mode, that was my personal endgame.

    So good.
