Ah, I see. Perhaps you could try shooting one instead? From what I've seen, merely shooting someone has enough blast-power to be cannon worthy, and won't blast you through the floor.

Or, better yet, we could put a platform near the bottom of the cannon, and plant the person with the C4 just under that platform.
