Everyone has their tastes n.n
For me the most important things in a Final Fantasy in this very order are~
1. Story
2. Music
3. Gameplay

The story was good, and don't kill me for saying that in the older FFs the graphics get in the way of that for me. Bad graphics does not make a game bad, but it can ruin the story for me and my puny little mind. The music was awesome.
The gameplay was also great.
