MGS4 on Xbox 360 'a few months' after PS3, says OXM Rumor Mole - Joystiq

A reliable tipster has whispered in X3F's ear that the Rumor Mole section in the latest issue of OXM claims a "bankable source" confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be coming to the Xbox 360 "a few months" after the PS3 version. Of course, there have been dozens of rumors insisting this will be the case, but the "Official Xbox Magazine" carries some weight.

Last week, Konami executive Kazumi Kitaue said, "Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," igniting renewed speculation that the title would, in fact, be coming to Microsoft's console. Obviously, an announcement wasn't made at E3 last week ... perhaps TGS07?

Yay more gas for the fire. I hope this turns out to be true both because I'd like to play the game and also because it would finally stop all the speculation.

Seeing as how this was actually posted like nearly two weeks ago, and with Sony AGAIN announcing that it was a PS3 exclusive at E3, can people take it with a grain of salt until we actually get a confirmation?

Because it's only a good game if it's on the original console.

This would also allow Kojima and company's hard work to be played and enjoyed by more people. That would be a "win" for the consumer, folks. It obviously sucks for people who dont want to buy PS3s, and I feel for them. In that way I do want everyone to be able to play this game.

By 'we' I just meant people who have bought a PS3, not 'us' at sony. If you read what I wrote, i.e. "we ultimately get more and better games", you'd see that I wouldnt need to work for sony to care.
Im a gamer, I only have one console at the moment, and thats exactly why I care for more games coming to it and exclusives help sales and therefore more developers work and I get to geek out even more. So yeah I care, if only a little.

Plus, id hate to work at sony. Well, id love the money, but not the actual company.

Regardless, I cant wait for this game, whatever it comes out on.
