I'm gonna go with Pirates to even the poll out. Also it's Affirmative Action since groups of pirates get humiliated not too far into the first two games.
A ninja may kick the pirate's ass, but the pirate will get away with all the ninja's stuff.
So yeah. My vote goes to pirates.

Ninja's have Shadow, Pirates have Balthier...
It's like asking me which kidney I like more. I'm rather attached to both.
Pirates bring me TV shows which I would otherwise have to wait for in a rerun or something, which might never even come. Ninjas can wield two weapons though, but they can't sail a ship and are basically big cheaters anyway.

Ninjas are better even though balthier is the best pirate known to man kind.
