Why hasn't there been a favorite Dragoon poll yet? Anyway I'm voting for Kain. Cause Kain is...Kain.
And also if your wondering why Mog and Edgar are both on the poll, it's because if I put just Mog someone would come up and say how Edgar is the better Dragoon of VI.

I voted for Kain. He's not the best person on the list, but let's face it, a lot of them aren't really dragoons (i.e. Edgar and Mog). Kain is the best dragoon on the list. Oh, and by no way am I implying that Mog is better than Kain. Not by a long shot.

How does Cid have any votes when he's not a dragoon? Sure, he uses a lance, but that doesn't make him a dragoon. There's more to being a dragoon than which weapon you use.

I know I was being lenient with my poll, but I was expecting Cid to be 2nd place. He's more of a Dragoon that Gareth/Richard. Three of his Limit Breaks are esencially !Jump, but with a different name. He deserves to be up there just as much as Kain or Mog or even Edgar.
Half of his limit breaks are jump attacks and bears the same last name as Kain and Richard, who are Dragoons. Yeah, he qualifies as a Dragoon.
