    Default the stat of fortune?(spoilers)

ok this about the stat called LUCK..
i just wanna know what it does..
well based on my observation it increases my hit rate(tested it on dark yojimbo) ..
but there is also the ACC(accuracy) stat right?
so what is its major function?
is this stat important for future battles to come?
it makes you wonder y'know, seing how hard to collect fortune spheres are!

    hmmmmm

Look up an faq. It's like 400000000000000000000000 times faster.

    Luck influences:
    Critical Hit Rate
    Chance to evade if possible
    Chance to hit if miss

At 255 Luck, you can get away with having base stats (around 40) in Evasion and Accuracy, and ensure that all attacks made that can hit will hit. All attacks that can miss the party will miss. As far as the mathcraft goes, your actual chance to not be hit or to connect with an attack is based on these two stats. Luck simply changes it by a set number. As far as needing it goes, you don't.

oe.. sounds cool.. but i'd rather max my evasion and accuracy lol
honestly at first i thought it has somthing to do with status effects, like marboro's bad breath for example, i noticed sometimes i dont get confused or berserked, guess i was wrong.. gee wish they would just apply luk stat that way, collecting 99 dark matters is like growing meat

Yeah. But no, not an ass. Cummon, maybe he's just having a bad day. But yes, luck affects ctr. hit rt.

I have read FAQs claiming that luck increased your chance to steal (apart from the first one which is automatic). To be honest, I can't say for certain if it does, in spite of being a kleptomaniac. Anyway I used to obsessively cast Luck (the ability) before stealing, and I thought it helped, but I could be imagining it. Superstition...?

It's not a simple question, otherwise the answer would've been obvious. :rolleyes2 Still, there's no reason to be rude. If you feel the need to tell someone "go find a guide", at the very least provide a link.

As for needing it, it's unneccessary in the story battles or even at the Monster Arena (max. stats and plenty of HP is more than enough do dispose of Nemesis) but since you're one of us lucky ones who has Dark Aeons and Penance, it does help. Just about all of the more powerful DAs, Dark Yojimbo and Dark Anima in particular become almost impossible to hit, even with 255 Accuracy. You can raise your Luck and use the Aim/Luck/Jinx abilities to give yourself a chance against these enemies. When fighting Penance, it's best to have Luck in the triple digits or higher, unless your strategy involves an aeon beginning with Y using an attack beginning with Z.

Oh, and Luck does not affect your chance of stealing, or stealing/winning rare items from fiends.
