    You!

    You are old!

EDIT: Old, like art, is a word that depends entirely on the context used.

Less threads about arbitrary classifications please.

Just sounds like an utter moron hell bent on only appreciating the new consoles.

I'd say a game is old when its system is not being produced or developed for any more. i.e. PSX and N64 There's still a bunch of games that are yet to be released on the PS2 here.

I still play my NES. Actually I was playing it just today. It doesn't feel old to me. If it's 'old' then I'm old because I grew up with that system.

I use old as in the since it has been out for a while, irregardless of its popularity or innovation. So for me "old", is basically anything pre-6th gen (PS2, GameCube and XBox). "Old school" would be anything from the time of SNES and Genesis and before hand.

Old is from a previous generation. Something like a year or older.

It's just a base definition, and adverbs may be added to differentiate amongst varying degrees of old.

I believe that a game is old when the developer puts it up for free download on its website (if the game was actually making money years before, of course). Even more so if the game is so outdated that it won’t run on my operating system—which itself is 7 or so years old by today’s standards.

'More than ten years old' is a good measure, but not always perfect. It's really subjective, sometimes - an obscure game might become 'old' much more quickly than a classic; some titles just date faster than others. FFVII is ten years old now, but isn't widely regarded as an 'old' game. Syphon Filter is a little newer than FFVII, but is probably considered a bit long in the tooth (even though it's still a fantastic game).
Whether or not a game's 'old' can probably depend in part on if it's still got an active presence in the collective imagination of gamers in general.
