Not to try and come off as an ass, but I've had to pay for every console and game I've owned since I was 14, so although I understand what its like to not have money, I also know its not something un-overcomeable. As was mentioned earlier, if you put a dollar in a jar every day you will probably have enough by the time it come out. Saving up is a lot simpler than you think, a coke you buy every day, a pizza you order once a week, all these things add up in the long run to quite a sum of money.
Used PS3s are going for like $400. The PS2 was released at $300 in 2000, and adjusted for inflation thats $350. So, you are only really looking at ~$50 more now than the PS2 at release.
What pisses me off is that the PS3 is $100 more expensive in Canada than the US, despite the fact our dollar is almost on par.
