What are you asking exactly? How to make animated GIFs?
You put GIF images in your signature exactly the same way as you put JPG or PNG images in there. Host the image or get it hosted and put something like this into your signature:
Code:<img src="http://www.uri.to/hosted/image" />
You can upload a signature image to the server and link to it.
Don't forget "alt=" for more fun!
Oh, I get it now. GIF uploading is disabled for peon users. I guess the only option is to get it hosted then.
I guess you guys can't upload anything. Sorry about that, I don't concern myself with signature options on a regular basis.

Yeah, if you're asking how to put the sig on, it's the same as putting up a JPG or PNG.
If you're asking how to *make* an animated sig... that's a whole other thing. Despite the fact that mine is animated, I can't remember how the heck I did it. I made it over a year ago and have hardly touched an image editing program since.
You can do animations in GIMP, which is a free program. There's a tutorial of it here, it may help.

Just ask an administrator. I spent a day as an 'administrator' when Shlupquack played a prank on everybody. I personally found the day to be surreal -- people were up in arms in the help forum, saying 'wtf is this' and 'the sky is falling'.
It makes me realise that I can't ever hold a staff position at the forums.

title is useful if you want text to show up, but if you don't have alt it's not VALID.
Just set alt and title to the same thing
I was always wondering how to get one of those fancy Banned titles. They'd never give me one.=/
PS: Please explain this to the uncool non-"CK", non-"admin", non-"site staff" member: Are we talking about the alts as the "alternative text" you see when the image can't load, i.e. < img src="blabla" alt="blublu">?
