Still, I can sympathise with fantasy football frustration, even if it's not about the same player. :D
Yep, the results flattered him a bit, he wasn't that awesome. The defending was just very good, as George noted.

But speaking of awesome City players, Captain Elano skyrockted me this week to a 75 point week, my highest yet and just about the highest this week. Still near the bottom of the table but the bottom-mid table are all within like 20 points of each other, so that's good for me.

Damn only gone up one place Ah well lucky seven.

Torres and van persie are both on top form and my defence is almost perfect but I'm lacking on midfield.

I was wondering who's played their wildcard? because I may need to make quite a lot of changes.

Two new changes (took a four point hit):

    Tevez for Torres
    Benjani for Viduka

Which will hopefully give me a few dollars to play with next week...

I'm still not certain of my forwards. Torres and Anelka are good on paper, but I can't help but feel that perhaps I should swap Torres for Van Persie or something. Also finally filled that gap in my midfield (previously belonging to Speed/Barry/Downing) with Petrov which I'm hoping will net me some decent points. I'd rather like to hit first again.

Torres is undoubtedly a good player, but I'm not sure he's worth his 10+ valuation, when you can get other good forwards (Tevez, Adebayor, Saha etc) for under 9.

There's a pretty obvious reason why I'm not going to go with any Liverpool striker. I'll give you a clue: It's something that a fat man with a goatee worse than mine likes to do.

Part of me thinks if I remove Torres then he'll score three goals in the derby against Everton, whereas if I keep him in, Everton'll beat Liverpool. Decisions, decisions. I imagine I'll swap him for an Arsenal striker. Agree with you about the rotation system as I initially promised myself to only use one Liverpool player (Reina).

Torres was injured so he didn't play against everton.
And I took a harsh drop this week.

Good job I took him out in the end then, eh? I think nobody scored terribly highly this week. I'm fairly disappointed with my 50 points, but I feel that with a little further tweeking, I'll have my best squad yet.

Things that went right this week (so far):

    Dropping Torres for Tevez.
    My goalscoring defenders.
Dropping Jermaine Pennant to the bench (he came on in the 88th minute).

    Things that went not-so-right:

Leaving Benjani on the bench (which is where he'll stay unless either Neill or N'Zogbia don't play tomorrow).

That's it Cesc, you ain't my captain no more after this week. Obviously the second I change it you'll start scoring goals again, but I'm sure I'll find a way to live with that.

    Keane did me well yesterday.
But looking where I am the point gaps are really small between 9th and 11th.

Hey, Cz. Looking forward to watching Arsenal tonight? I'll predict the score will be 3 - 0 to the Gunners!

    Two more changes:

    Mascherano for Pennant
    Elano for Hamann

Switched the captaincy to Rio - don't see him conceding many goals against Boro.

Liverpool and Arsenal play each other next week and Man City face Chelsea. It may not be a good week for me...
