Gold Chocobo

Okay, so after finding all the strenuous Hot and Cold chocograph pieces, i got my gold chocobo.

The problem... my gold chocobo won't fly. I don't understand why it won't fly. Can someone please tell me i'm doing something wrong?

Get on the chocobo. Ride it into a forest (a normal forest, not a special chocobo one). Press X.

And to land, press X while hovering over a forest.

It's a direct throwback to the Black Chocobos of FFV.

If memory serves, you need the chocobo to fly to make Dead Peppers effective.

If memory serves, you need the chocobo to fly to make Dead Peppers effective.

Dead Peppers work in the air and on the ground. You need them to make Choco dive, dig or soar upwards depending on where you're positioned when you use the Pepper.
