If I would have told you in 1984 that in 2007 Michael Jackson's career would be long over and Weird Al would still be relevant, you'd offer a large wager that I was wrong and I'd be collecting now. Because I always believed that Weird Al would be popular as long as he was alive and still working.

Weird Al is, undeniably, the best musical artist, hands down.

I saw him in concert in Tunica when he was doing the Poodle Hat tour. I wish he'd bring the Straight Out Of Lynwood tour somewhere near me.

His new stuff (read: Poodle Hat and Straight out of Lynwood) is stupid, boring, and unfunny. His mid-80s to mid-90s work is great though.
