Looks like the new trailer is stirring racism claims. WHAT A SURPRISE.

Now, we all know racist claims are only valid when black people are involved -- after all, nobody cared when Leon was mowing down the Spanish -- but don't they know these are made in Japan? Racism only exists in America! What silly people.

Why people feel the need to be suddenly offended by something enough to stand up and shout about it when clearly they are wrong I don't know.

Nobody who has even heard of Resident Evil would've thought it was centred around racism and you can tell that this person has no knowledge of any of the previous games and simple caught an eyeful of a black person being shot by a white person and figured she'd make a stand.

Drives me crazy.

Has anyone else read the plot summaries on GameFAQs? They are like epic stories more than anything else and they really get you clued in on what's going on in the series. I love how a lot of the story is seen through documents placed at strategically freaky places. Rather than entirely at that current moment in time. For instance in the first game S.T.A.R.S were but pawns in a much more complicated game. Now, slowly, Chris'n'co are taking the battle to the core of all this.

I can't wait to play.

That was definitely a sweet spot. Moar melee ftw.

smurf yes on the more melee. Perhaps my favourite gameplay moment of RE4 was when I had very little ammo and was faced with 8 hostiles (as I call them, 'cause they aint zombies). I hurled a flash grenade into the middle of them, charged in right after it, and managed to take them all out using the knife and kicks without taking a scratch. It was pure awesome.

I'm starting to wonder if Capcom choose the setting of the game with the purpose of bad publicity in mind...
Anyway,the stupidity/fanatism of some people never ceases to amaze me.

I'm certain Capcom didn't intend for it to be insulting to anyone. At the same E3, people were offended by some Islamic phrase in Capcom's Wii game Zak & Wiki. As for that game, they can (and have) easily take out the phrase. Not so easy for RE5 though.

I hope people get over it. It really isn't a big deal.
