I'm wetting myself a lot these days.
Holy craaaaaaaaaap.
I wonder if the virus is Los Plagas again or if it's something different - the scene with the guy getting infected reminded me a lot of 28 Days Later. Which would be cooler than giant bug heads exploding out with scythe tails, imo.
And to the fact that Chris is starring: smurf yeah. I had read somewhere that the mystery guy in the early trailers was Billy and was mega disappointed. Really, who cares about Billy? But Chris, man, that's so many levels of hardcore. I love it.
Is it confirmed for the 360? If so, I must have one. Oh man this game looks so cool, especially the environment (huuuge departure for the series, looks like it's going to be very unique).
Oh god, yes please. There's even more people attack en masse than in 4. And here I thought Leon had it so rough.
They at least confirm the hero. I had heard that Billy rumor flying around a bit myself. Billy is just kinda okay, but Chris is just cooler, so I'm glad it's him. Now if only I could get a game with Chris and Jill in it again. I've been wanting them to reunite in a game since I played the original (and Umbrella Chronicles and REMake don't count because they're different versions of the same story I already got).
This looks like greatness. Whatever system it comes out, they can take my money. They can take all of it.
When Chris punched that guy in the face, I couldn't stop laughing.
Who was the girl? Was it the one from RE2(the litte girl, not Claire).
It looks fantastic, it makes me wonder why they even bothered showing that lackluster trailer at E3.
Looks like they're fixing the very few problems that Resident Evil 4 had, my favorite is the sheer variety in the character models for the infected, Resident Evil 4 looked so great, but it was lacking in enemy variety, it looked like you were killing the same 4 Spanish dudes for half the game.
Birkin's daughter... didn't she escape? It's been a while since I played, but I thought she made it out okay.
At first I kinda thought they might've been trying to cross-over with the movies. Alice from the flicks ends up in a tube like that at the end of the second one, and she's got the Nemesis virus in her. It could also just be a totally new creation. Hard telling.
There were a few scenes where Chris was up against like 30 zombies with nothing but that pistol. Didn't look too safe.I sort of wonder how well the RE4 style controls will work against that many enemies. RE4 was an amazing and fun game, but moving around rapidly still wasn't that easy. Hopefully this one will have more action commands, like better physical attacks or dodge moves, to help out with the fights.
It looks great, though. I think my favorite part might be when Chris jumps forward and just punches a zombie right in the face.
EDIT: Yeah, that would be the scene right there.
Nice to see some progress in this game. It seems very action oriented, though. Now it's more like survival-action than survival-horror. I want an old mansion to explore dammit ;o
They already said it's not the T-virus or Los Plagas, but something new entirely.
The enemies may look different, but it looks like they're all behaving the exact same way. Honestly that doesn't leave me very encouraged. I liked RE4 until about the point where you get past the village. After that the rediculous length with little variety in enemies and scenarios started to grate on me. I honestly hated the game by the end since it had all the gameplay variety of Minesweeper.Originally Posted by Necronopticous
This brings up another huge problem I had with RE4; aside from shooting, the controls were the same crap we've been using since the original RE. If he isn't more mobile in this one then I'll pass thanks.Originally Posted by Azar
I'll pass judgement when I see more and play the game myself, but I don't have a lot of faith in Capcom to improve on the things I hated in RE4. They're not a company prone to rocking the boat.
Have you played RE1, ever?
It's near unplayable by todays standards, and a completely different scheme from RE4.
One thing that always got me about Resident Evil that's pretty well illustraited by this trailer.
The main character is always up against some highly contagious deadly virus or some such that has managed to infect and entire mansion/city/island/train/whatever in an amazingly short amount of time. He bleeds all over the place, in that trailer he takes about three axe swipes to the face, yet is somehow immune to the most catching diseases ever, while covered in open wounds.
Word/s.
oh... my... God...
who knew they could make daylight so.....freaky lol!!
the thing is re4 was very much action orientated and it was good no doubt...i just hope this one balances the horror and suspense element in the game!!
but this trailer looks awesome! bloody awesome
