So, who do you think was the most intense, mind-bogglingly badass character in any movie?
To me, I don't think anyone will top The Stranger from High Plains Drifter.
Maximus from Gladiator
EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.
...Kill Bills.

edit: Oh, ROLES! Umm...well, Uma and Gogo Yubari.

Wow, this is actually quite difficult. I'd like to opt with Kiriyama like others, but I'd like to at least throw some names into the mix myself. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, perhaps? Rex Kramer from Airplane! was pretty badass (actually, I just like him beating up all those people at the airport). Yet how no one has mentioned Mr. Blonde yet is beyond me.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
arnold schwarznegger.
Clint Eastwood as the "man with no name" in the dollars trilogy.
Also Charles Bronson in Once upon a time in the west.
Oh,and Bruce Lee in everything he played in.
Tony Jaa is a total monster as well. The elbows, knees, wooden arm things and fire legs of death = total bad man
Chris Tucker - Rush Hour.
A bit of humor counts as badass for me.

Princess Leia in Episode 6...that outfit on Tatooine was badass
The terminator.
Or Riddick.
