O so famous

I just met Bill Bailey literally yards from my home. After two years of living in London and my celebrity "on-the-street" meets being limited to Jarvis Cocker and the guy who does Palimentary newcasts who isn't Andrew Marr, I happened to be heading back just from getting milk when I bumped into the musical comedic hippie. I gushed, I took a small video of me and him, and I probably scared his child as well.

So, who have you recently met/seen randomly in the street of the famous variety? Note that concerts or other organised events don't count.

I saw Bez, the one who won the Celebrity Big Brother a few years ago, in Manchester Airport last fortnight as I was flying to Tenerife. I also have seen Ricky Tomkinson from The Royal Family on a plane flight to Spain, I got a signature off him saying "My arse!".
My parent's saw comedian Johnny Vegas in a club in where I live, St Helens. Ive seen celebrites wandering around Manchester too.

Ohhh, and also some members of british teenage soap Hollyoaks in St Helens.

Earlier this summer I was attending a Rufus Wainwright concert in Copenhagen, and there were many Danish celebs present as well. Also, at the Roskilde Festival, where I also was earlier this summer, there are always Danish celebs walking around. Anyway, I've only run into Danish celebrities, which really isn't all that exciting.

Oh and the lead singer of The Midway State after they played a set in trafalgar square for canada day. Apparently they're quite big in Canada.

No, but one of my friends in Colorado is under the impression that if walks on any random street in the state of California, he'll meet Keira Knightley and then get laid by her right then and there. I'm not kidding, he actually thinks that'll happen.

Let's see. I've only really met some Australian musicians such as Alex Lloyd, John Butler, Something For Kate, Mick Hart and Carus. Oh and I met Live backstage, because my friend got those tickets from someone that was head of security when they were down here -- the lead guitarist was a bit of an arsehole.

Oh, and my cousins play AFL (Australian Football), so that's pretty cool.

I met Dave Barry at my grandfather's memorial service (so it doesn't really count as a random encounter). He told me with a smile on his face that I have a sick sense of humor.

My grandfather knew a lot of famous authors and reporters; I always hoped that I'd get to meet Tom Harris through him, but it seems unlikely now. My parents had lunch with him once. Apparently he's one big fuzzy bear despite his sick and twisted mind; for those unfamiliar with the name, he authored all the books starring Hannibal Lecter.
