Default New OLED screens - Paper thin/bendable TVs etc.

Some of the bigger techy people here will have already seen this. That doesnt make it any less awesome though.
They can be very bendable, around 1 - 10mm thick (depending on how big the screen is and if its a bendable one or not)

Video number 1 (About the bendable ones)
Video number 2 (More about the non-bendable ones e.g. 1080p TVs)

I saw them being shown on TV around 2 years ago at some sort of technology expo. The difference is back then they had not managed full High Definition or that 1000000:1 contrast ratio for the non-bendable ones. Actually the picture quality back then was absolute crap compared to now.

I wonder if these will be as or more overpriced as HDTVs first were when they came out.
I expect 2009 - 2010 until it really starts crawling into the rest of the world outside Japan.

That looks awesome, but when they start marketing and selling it, it's going to be astronomically expensive.

I'll wait until it's available at a price for the average consumer to afford, because that's when it's going to really take off.

What use would you possibly have for a TV that temporarily curls and bends? It's not like it'd even be an advantage when storing it as it'd end up with a permanent curl from being held that way. Useless.

Yeah it's not too new, but it's still cool, but I wonder how you keep it from getting lost, I can't even keep track of notecards.
