    Default Where to level up?

I just left the Pharos and my main party is on level 56. I wanted to level them up to about Lv. 65, so that I could finish all the hunts. What is the best place to level them?

I would say Giruvegan; satisfactory EXP, quick leveling, good for licenses and has excellent treasures in the Great Crystal (Exaclibur and so on...) Or at the depths of Golmore Jungle where mid-level skeltons appear, around 100 of them. Give good items and EXP as well, also there is a rare fiend.

Pharos is very draining, so yah, go for the ones I put forward.

If you think you can handle it (I imagine you can) then Nabudis might be an option. You can get there either through the Nabreus Deadlands or directly from the Salikawood (carry on past where you fought/will fight the Bomb King).

Edit: Or Giruvegan is always another option.

Nabudis is full of undead. Yuck!!! Henne Mines, the locked area is mentioned often as good place but also full of undead.

I find Giruvegan and the ice fields in the Feywood a lot more pleasant and lucrative Behemoth steaks = 10 X potions $$$$

Considering your levels, i'd say Giruvegan would be a good option. Try the Pharos-Subterra for a challenge.

After you get to around the upper 60s, venture into the Henne Mines east section. It is quite possibly the most rewarding area in the game. My main party is approaching the 80s, and they still level up rather quickly! Chaining Abysteels is also a great way to recieve loot. And while you're there, try to Poach a Gizmaluke. You may recieve a Holy Lance, which'll come in handy when fighting Zodiark. It'll require several tries though.

You could always nucleify the undead bats in the Henn Mines with Curaja for fast leveling, although you may want to wait until you're at a bit higher level because the monsters there hit rather hard.

Personally, I'd beat the main story before doing any more hunts in your case; level up any further and you're going to ruin the challenge of the final boss.

Once you get to about Level 70, you can sky rocket here to Level 99. Fool-Proof.
But, instead of Curaja, try using Scathe, it attacks all of them almost at once, which kills them quicker before they wake up if your Magic Power sucks.

I haven't played this game in a long time, but I'm feeling the buzz from my experience in FF8! Level 99 for each character, here I come!!!!!!!!!

If you go to the other end of the great crystal you will find some butt-stomping monsters, so there I guess (PROTIP: take lots of holy/curaja for those freaking undead that like to jump up under your feet every five steps when you're really close to Ultima ;ooo)

Oh man, Sagensyg, I'm getting mad just thinking about that part of the Henne mines. UGH. That was also difficult at a low-60s level >:[

i think zeromus means if u lv up too high (example 99) the final boss will be too easy as it was for me considering all my characters were 99.

You can use the Negalmuur trick in the stilshrine of miriam.

There are atleast 7 places to level up at the end of the game, there is actually only 7 I think.

    Giruvegan Great Crystal
    Pharos Subterra
    Henne Mines Extension
    Lhusu Mines Extension
    - These four places have the highest level enemies

    Necrohol of Nabudis
    Nabreus Deadlands
    - The enemies are a step lower but you can beat many of them

Negalmuur auto-leveling method in Stilshrine of Miriam
    - This is an auto-leveling trick where you find Negalmuur, he summons Ghasts, you kill the Ghasts automatically. You stay alive and healthy and repeatedly and easily kill the Ghasts. You have to set up the gambits in a certain way. I'll post a thread on this. Basically you set up the process, it does it automatically and you leave for hours, you come back later and see that the party levelled up for you! You can leave it running and go up to level 99! I get like 328 exp every 11.5 seconds but I can double that with an Embroidered Tippet. You have to set up the gambits right.

I prefer Negalmuur, since it does the work for me, I'll get up to level 99 with little work.
Recently beaten: Alundra 1, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Currently playing: Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, Final Fantasy I
Will play next: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fallout 3(???)

Auto-leveling dates back at least to FFVI with the Lete river loop.

If you want to do traditional hack-and-slash leveling, the Henne Mines Extention is your best bet.
