Maybe people dont' see themselves, because they're looking for all the little things that make them exactly unique, but other people can see the basic similarities?

I know I told a guy once he reminded me of a guy I went to school with, and showed him and his girlfriend a picture and they were like 'uh, that doesn't look like [me/him] at all' but there was still a resemblance!
