Sounds more like, "Ya pasta"
Nowhere near "you bastard."

I might buy your theory, Roto, if something didn't happen this week. For some time, I've been trying to find someone, anyone who remembered the drink, Josta. For years, I wasn't able to find anyone. I was ready to say Josta was all in my mind. I was ready to say I made it up in my head along with all the stories of my drinking it. But last night, for the first time since Josta disappeared, I found someone who remembered it.
So there. I believe I might go for several years and be just about ready to right this off as my making it up in my head because I want him to say, "you bastard," but then, someone will surely say to me, "Yeah. I heard it too."
Maybe it's not "you bastard." Maybe it's "young master." But it sure as hell sounds to me like, "you bastard" no matter how I listen to it. Even when I try to force myself to hear "young master." And it's just a matter of time before I find someone else who hears it as well.
It's definitely young master. There's even the "m" sound.
Money, power, sex... and elephants.

You cannot FORCE you subconscious to hear something that it wants to hear. That is why it is called your subconscious, you don't really have any control over it whatsoever. It is sung "young master", I don't understand how you can confuse it. It is extraordinarily clear. Every lyrics site reports it as being sung as such, as well as a multitude of scripts. The Snopes site is a community project and would reflect as such if there were a strong body of evidence supporting your theory.
You're hearing something that isn't there.
In other news, Manfred Mann totally says douche in Blinded By the Light.
Seriously, though, that's pretty clearly "young master" in the Youtube video.
They're not the same thing at all. What you did with Josta was remember something everyone else forgot. What you're doing with this is trying to convince everyone else that we're all hearing it wrong and you're hearing it right.
Young master, duh. I watched it when I was about six, and I heard 'young master' clear as a bell then, and I still do now. I even did what you're doing, tried to imagine him saying 'bastard', but I couldn't.
This is a signature.
This isn't a ledgend, but the first one reminded me of it.
When I was a kid, I though "The Rescuers" (first disney film I saw!) contained the word "Bastard" and I even got into trouble copying it.
One of the characters asks what the other is doing and is told that she is "looking", to which she (apparently) replied "Well look, BASTARD!!"
I watched this recently, I finally figured out she actually says "Well look faster"
Maybe your sound quality sucks. He's saying young master. Ive never heard any accent that says you as yu (as in but)
EDIT: By the way FTW
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
its young master loL!
I can undertand how it could get mixed up though!
He doesn't sing "young bastard", and if he really was I would just find it funny. There are a lot of worse phrases out there he could have sung to poor little Simba.
