The only people who pronounce the word "bastard" 'bar-stad', which is what I assume you are hearing, are Indians speaking English. And Zazu is definitely not using an Indian accent. He clearly says "young master".

Besides, if you wanted to pick something "dirty" about Disney you could have just used the Simba/Nala dirty porno face bit later in the movie, rather than trying to pick on something that isn't actually happening

I appreciate the intelligent discussion here. Except from those who are insulting me. There's no need to insult me here. I do have a high quality recording. I own the soundtrack and was listening to my 128kbps MP3 ripped from my soundtrack. Maybe I'm wrong. I've already stated that. But I hear what I hear and there's no need to insult me over it.

I stated I heard him say, "you bastard," but it's really more like, "ya bastard," but it means the same thing. In fact, "ya" is just "you" with an accent. If we're going to type out accents, I might as well say it was, "ya bahstahd."

I understand that I may be wrong, but I just can't concede on this until I hear it the way everyone here is saying it. I tried, and honestly I can't hear it that way. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to mow the lawn even though I'm sick because it's just gotten way too long and I don't want to get fined.

Man, I loved Lion King when I was little. So much so that I had the entire script memorized from start to finish. Songs and all.

here's an urban legend thats true:

in the movie Aladdin, when he's trying to talk to Jasmine and the tiger is growling at him, hes talking to the tiger sayin "good kitty, down kitty" and stuff like that. when the scene shows jasmine looking out at him, he whispers "good teenagers, take off your clothes". i listened to it myself. i think its only on the original though.

    YouTube - aladdin subliminal message

I think he's meant to say, "Take off and go," to the tiger. Sounds really similar to "Take off your clothes"... But...

    Nah, I'm still skeptically unconvinced.

I've heard that Aladdin one before. I also like the one about how apparently in one scene of The Lion King, the clouds or stars in the sky spell the word 'sex' XD - no idea how true it is.

My first post in this thread links to Snopes' Disney films site. It will tell you how true these other urban legends of which you speak are. The answer is that Aladdin doesn't say, "take off your clothes," and it's undetermined about, "sex" in the stars. Actually, I've seen "sex" in the stars. It looks like that. The question is, is it intentional. They did clean it up in the special edition, though the theatrical release on the same DVD still has it. There's a video on the Snopes page if you can bother going back to page one and clicking on the link.

The sex in the stars was supposed to be "SFX" but they messed it up. xD

And Zazu oh-so-clearly says young master.

Ahh, here's the million dollar question. Is it intentional?

In the Aladdin case, I don't think so. What they were trying to say was, "Take off and go", and that could easily get confused with "Take off your clothes". The fact that Aladdin is whispering it makes it even more similar.

They probably cleaned it up on the special edition because it sounded so much like it. Was it deliberate in the first place? I don't think so.

You completely misinterpreted what I said. The Aladdin thing is 100% false. You didn't see that part of my post. When I said the question was is it intentional, I was referring to "sex" being written in the stars when the dust scatters in The Lion King. I say that because it can clearly be seen in the theatrical release but was cleaned up later in the special edition, but there's no evidence pointing to its intentionality (if that's a word).

    Ah, my bad. Sorry.

So... sex in the stars. I don't think it was deliberate. If they wanted to slip it in deliberately, then why did they put it there? Simba is standing on a cliff and flops to the ground. It would've made more sense to put it in when he's with Nala, the lioness.

I've seen talk of this before, and I have heard the line. I dunno what he really says but I hear: "Good kids take of clothes".

I have no idea where everyone else get's "teenagers" from...

Lol penis. Except they say it's a knee. A knee that can get you pregnant.

Somebody tried to get me to hear the Alladin thing, but I just never could. I strained my ears until they could strain no more, but it all ended in horrible failure. Let's pink elephant over it
