Xellos and Axel faced off atop the domed, steam-emitting spires of the Aqua Capital of Mac Anu. Below them various humans and beast-people in various medieval styles of armor ran about, chatting and arguing with each other.

"The next battle is between Xellos and Axel," Light said from inside the tallest tower within the city. "Begin."

Two flaming chakram appeared in Axel's hands and began spinning violently as fire danced around him. The chakram began rotating rapidly around his body as he charged forward, flames surrounding him.

Xellos floated into the air and extended his hand. A half-sphere barrier of pure force surged forward, stopping the flames and causing them to disperse harmlessly to the side.

Jumping back, Axel hurled his right chakram. It flew in a curved arc, circumventing the barrier and moving directly towards Xellos' unprotected back.

Xellos seemed to sigh, a bit bored. He flicked his staff backwards and an explosion of energy blasted the chakram away, sending it flying into the air in the opposite direction of Axel.

Axel twisted his right hand and the chakram took flight again, trailing flame as it swung around and returned to his hand and resumed its violent spinning.

Before Axel could make any further movements, Xellos made a dismissive gesture with his hand and a surge of telekinetic force flung Axel through the air like a ragdoll. Unable to regain his balance in midair, Axel sailed several yards before landing head-first in a bunch of crates. He lay in the wreckage groaning softly as Light slowly counted to 10.

I'll say this once and once only. I don't care for any kind of condescending or downright insulting comments against me. I'm very busy and in many cases very stressed, this is something I do on my free time for my own entertainment first, and your entertainment secondly (although generally not too far behind). I can't be expected to read minds, especially when, for example, your "bet" involves identifying a character in some obscure way, not to mention a way that he is not, nor has ever identified himself (for example, Xellos is not, nor has he ever said he is a sorcerer. His official designations are "Priest" and "Mazoku/Monster/Demon." I, quite naturally, think of him as such, and the connection to Sorcerer would not be made if the word were not fully spelled out.) The point here is if you want to use some kind of obscure phrasing for a bet, I will ignore it. Two figures faced off in the halls of a huge castle. Its ceiling appeared to be that of a clouded and stormy night sky, but no rain or lightning fell within the area.

"The next battle is between Kafra and Ultimecia," Light said from the middle seat of a large table at the end of the hall. "Begin."

Kafra bowed politely and threw a small dead branch onto the ground, which swiftly took the form of the shadowy, sword-wielding figure of the Doppleganger.

Doppleganger sprung forward, unleashing a wave of darkness with its sword that slammed into Ultimecia, who brought her massive, clawed arms forward to guard the attack. The wave cut into the arms, but dispersed before it could do any real damage. Opening her arms wide, Ultimecia unleashed a blast of powerful magic that slammed into Doppleganger and blasted him off his feat.

Doppleganger quickly recovered and slammed his sword into the ground, his wounds from the blast healing. He cockily gestured towards Ultimecia, waving his hand as if inviting her to come at him.

Ultimecia complied, releasing a burst of blinding holy light at him. He charged forward, taking the hit full on and ignoring the grievous wounds that appeared on him as he swept his sword in a wide arc, slicing at Ultimecia's belly before leaping into the air and slashing at her with a vicious downward slash that left a huge gash on her chest and shot a dark wave directly into her.

Ultimecia hissed in pain and made a wide gesture. An orb of magic shot from her fingers and slammed into Doppleganger's chest. He seemed all right for a moment, before his body seemed to twitch, and he exploded in a burst of dark energy.

Kafra stepped forward and threw another branch forward. This branch grew into the form of a huge, furred creature with broad horns, hoofed feet and a massive scythe. An arcane circle releasing it, Baphomet howled a challenge. Before Ultimecia could react the figure leapt back and raised its head, before unleashing a blast of small balls of dark energy. The energy exploded all over Ultimecia's body as she writhed in pain. Slowly, something began to rise from the ground, but it was already too late.

Moving in behind the cloud of dark energy, Baphomet leapt forward and brought it's scythe to bear. The scythe cut cleanly into Ultimecia, cleaving her cleanly in two.
