10k on zaraki
Two figures stood on opposite sides of a huge room inside a tall stone tower with ancient inscriptions and pictographs on them.
One was a massive man with spikey hair and a fierce eyepatch. As he moved his head, a faint ringing sound could be heard as small bells within his hair jostled. He wore a torn shihakusho and a ragged haori with the kanji for the number "11" on it. He held a long, heavily battered katana that had obviously seen many battles.
The other was a poised woman poised woman in a plain brown dress with a white apron. She wore gloves on either hand, and her hair was purple, held in place by a white band. However, her appearance was much darker, as if enshrouded in shadow.
"The next battle is between Zaraki Kenpachi and a Possessed Kafra Lady," Light said from high atop the tower in his own private booth. "Begin."
Kafra bowed politely to Zaraki and threw a dead branch on the ground. Before his eyes, it grew and expanded, a large blue rabbit appearing. As it appeared, she moved away, allowing the creature to fight for her.
"What the hell?" Zaraki said as the rabbit began to jump excitedly up and down.
The rabbit surged forward, charging at an incredible speed. Without missing a beat, Zaraki slashed forward with his blade, blasting the rabbit away. It fell flat on its back and lay still, before fading away.
Once again, Kafra stepped forward and threw a branch. This time, a massive bug-like creature appeared with a huge thorax and a feminine torso.
"Man, another weird thing?" Zaraki asked as he charged forward, only to be knocked back as the creature materialized two massive blades on her arms and slashed at him, drawing thin lines of blood.
"Hmmm... interesting!" he said with a wolfish grin as he began to move around the creature. As he moved near her thorax, she frantically began shooting small green seeds out.
"Don't like that eh?" he growled, slashing at her. The first attack sliced her green insectoid wings clean off, and the second strike caused her to shriek in pain and fall over.
Zaraki turned back to see what was next, only to be knocked over by twin blades that sliced two gashes open on his back. Turning, he saw that the female head had detached from the original body and was now once again wielding massive blades on its arms.
The creature jumped in the air and began spinning through it as Zaraki deftly dodged, slashing at it and causing it to shriek in pain. Spinning around, it extended its blades and began walking towards Zaraki, who leapt into the air and brought his sword down on her, knocking her to the ground. The creature cried out in pain and began to fade away, before vanishing completely.
Kafra stepped forward and threw another dead branch, which grew into a girl with fox-like fur on her hands and feet, as well as fox-like ears on her head. She held in her hands an enormous bell. Jumping back, the creature summoned two smaller foxes with nine tails that immediately shifted into the shape of the creature and jumped forward, each holding a bell.
The creatures jumped forward, hefting their bells. Zaraki surged forward to meet them, slashing away and shrugging off successive blows from the bells as they frantically beat on him. After several slashes, he brought both of them down, and the true creature stepped forward.
Swinging her bell, she brought it around in a wide arc that managed to knock Zaraki back a bit. Grunting, he grinned with feral glee as he shot forward and slashed her twice. She ran back and leapt into the air, unleashing a flying kick that bounced off Zaraki's chest as he slashed her again.
Falling back, she raised her bell and rang it loudly. Zaraki screamed angrily as he was stunned, allowing the creature to slam her bell into him and knock him backwards.
Rising to his feet, Zaraki rushed forward as two more nine-tailed foxes took the form of the creature and rushed out at him. This time, he cut them down with a furious flurry of blows, barely giving them a chance to attack (although he did take two more well-placed blows) before they were felled. Once again the creature stepped out and Zaraki slashed at her relentlessly until she fell backwards and faded away.
Once again Kafra tossed a dead branch, and this time it took the form of a massive green orc holding a huge tower shield and a wicked cleaver-like blade. Six smaller blue orcs fell next to him, and they all began to charge at Zaraki, who charged to meet them, cutting down the smaller orcs before they even had a chance to react.
As he approached the largest orc, it let out a ferocious warcry that sent him flying. He hit the ground hard, just in time to take a huge downward slash from the orc that opened a huge gash.
Zaraki jumped backwards just in time to get hit by a huge shockwave of energy from the orc's blade.
"Damn it, that's it!" Zaraki shouted as he ripped his eyepatch off. An aura of yellow energy surrounded him as he charged forward and began slashing at the orc, who attempted to block the onslaught with his shield. Zaraki continued his attack relentlessly, and the orc soon began trading blows, opening huge bloody gashes on his body before Zaraki, with a triumphant shout, blasted the orc backwards, where its body faded.
Grinning with glee and battle-lust, Zaraki turned to see what was next to come. Kafra once again threw a dead branch, which turned into a strange, small creature with a pink underside and a green top.
As it feebly flailed its small green arms at Zaraki, he began slicing at it with a vengeance. It's small, bulbous eye glowed red and suddenly a huge fanged maw opened up and slammed into Zaraki, knocking him backwards. Growling, Zaraki continued his assault, until its eye glowed again and it emitted a purple shockwave, locking his body in place. Opening its maw, it began firing rocks at Zaraki as his body was flung back by each successive strike. As the rocks ended, a huge stone column burst forth from its mouth, hitting Zaraki square in the chest and knocking him to the ground.
Leaping into the air, Zaraki came down hard on the creature, cleaving it neatly in two. It slowly faded away and Zaraki turned, invigorated but growing irate at the constant stream of creatures.
Once again Kafra threw a dead branch, which formed into a young man with shadowed features and a large sword.
By this point, Zaraki was bleeding profusely from several large gashes, and his body was bruised and battered. Charging forward, he locked swords with the man, exchanging cautious blows.
Grinning maliciously, the man slashed forward, unleashing a shockwave of dark energy that sent Zaraki flying back. Leaping into the air, he brought his sword down on the ground, stunning Zaraki. As Zaraki growled in pain, he unleashed two shockwaves of dark energy that launched Zaraki off his feet and sent him sprawling on his back.
Zaraki struggled to rise, but even his incredibly toughness had its limits.
"Damn it!" he growled, before passing out.
