    Default Your favroite Indie band

    The title says it all.

What is your favorite(s) Indie band(s).

I will start off by naming one of my personal favorite.

    Lali Puna.

I don't really know too much about Indie rock or that stuff kind of stuff. Ask my sister though, that's her thing.

Old Modest Mouse (though their major label albums are also awesome).

For current ones, I'll go with the Shins if you count Sub Pop as still being an indie label and The Arcade Fire if you don't.

I'd say Sufjan Stevens, if you consider him indie, because he is a god among men.

I don't remember if The Moon and Antartica was on a major label or not, but it's pretty fantastic.

I like a lot of small-time rappers, like MC Frontalot. I guess I don't listen to too much indie otherwise.

They used to be on an independent label. Even if it was only for three albums (one of them live).

Let's call Nirvana an indie band too since they started off on Sub Pop.

Yeah it was released on Epic I believe. It's between that and The Lonesome Crowded West for my favorite album of theirs.

And I completely forgot about Soofyan. He indeed is the only man who can still garner my respect after wearing wings to a performance.

Not sure if some of these are strictly indie...but:

The SHINS because they are smurfing fantastic.
    Interpol.
    The Strokes.
    The Postal Service.
    Sufjan Stevens.
    Iron & Wine.
I kinda like Bright Eyes too.
    Neutral Milk Hotel.
I used to really like The Decemberists but now I'm a tad bored of them.
This subliminal message could be meant for YOU. But it's probably not. Move along ;D
