Thread: Mech Modelling & Texturing (thread requires broadband)

Default Mech Modelling & Texturing (thread requires broadband)

So this is a new project I am working on after The Abduction. I won't give away too much except that there will be explosions and stuff, and a mech!

Here are a few screenshots of the modelling test renders and textured renders:

I have managed to script out a user interface within Maya using MEL scripting language, that controls the selection of the IK handels for the legs and the main area of the mech (so I can go in an easily move around joints to animate (like a doll!)). And also to control rotations and bits and pieces of the cannon and cockpit area.

So yeah, sorry they are big, I can't figure out how to make them thumbnails.

    Thanks!

Btw, so do I. But I'll be buying the student version next month once I start back at university.

Also, you could download the PLE version for free from Autodesk's website. All features are available, just that when you render you get a Autodesk watermark across your image.

    Nice job!
Kinda reminds me of the AT-ST walkers. The legs anyway.
