    Unhappy Computer sound doesn't work...

My little bro just downloaded a movie, and since then the sound hasn't worked.
I don't really blame him for anything, it's just that it stopped working about then.
Everything else is perfectly fine, I've tuned up the volume, I've made sure that the computer isn't on Mute etc, but there's no sound at all.
    What the hell is this?

Check that the master volume and wave volume are both turned up and not muted, or very low.

    What she said.
Also check if the speaker cable is in the audio card.

If all else fails, try checking for an updated driver.

Oh, before that, check to see if he didn't leave headphones plugged in

    Grin

right click computer -> manage -> device manager -> sounds video, and game controllers

See if there's a problem there

If that's fine, check the actual volume.

Control Panel -> sounds and audio devices -> advanced -> make sure everything is at the loudest

Try other output devices -- headphones, other speakers, etc.
