I hope none of you are using the crippled Windows Vista yet

I'm never upgrading to Vista. I never upgraded to Windows XP due to the fact that Windows 2000 is the best OS Microsoft ever came up with. The only time I'll ever upgrade to another Microsoft OS is if they build it off Windows 2000. I expected there to be lots of problems with Vista. We had many problems with XP in this same way, may of them were never fixed (i.e. compatiblity issues), rather they just made new hardware and software work with XP rather that fixing XP to work with existing hardware and software. Too many of my programs won't work on XP due to the fact that they haven't been upgraded since XP came out and XP didn't fix the compatibility issues. I strongly recommend anyone who has Vista or XP upgrade to Windows 2000. Yes. I meant upgrade. Just because it came out sooner doesn't mean it's inferior. In fact, it's quite the opposite in this instance.

Anyway, we have one pc with vista. I hate it so much. So many problems when we first got it, and I'm not even sure what's in the system since I refuse to look at it until something breaks.

We will have to support vista eventually, but thankfully not until years later, when hopefully most of the stuff will be patched and compatibility with all existing hardware (but says nothing about new hardware) may be resolved.

I got vista with my new laptop last February. I haven't come across any serious problems, but I did notice that when I start up music everything freezes for a couple of seconds x.x

Ditto. Plus the new sound mixer is horrible.

I got my Vista installed laptop today and it works like a charm. Been playing online games on it and nothing of the sort happened, so you know.

My dad got his vista computer like a month after Vista came out and when he went off for business one weekend I played on it like a crazy person. I didn't see anything wrong with it. Vista's spiffy. *high-fives Dan*

My dad got Vista for free but we don't have a computer to run it on yet. Go Macs!

I've been using Vista for about three months now and it's been pretty much fine. It thinks that CS crashed when I close it myself, and it has occasional trouble with Firefox. I can play music and WoW or CS at the same time no problem.

Same here. When I was visiting my family members, they had Windows Vista installed on their computer, but I didn't really like it. Fortunately they still had Windows XP installed there, so I kept using it instead.

I played around with a hacked vista version, it was pretty. although my PC hated it. well not so much that it hatged it but it hated me and crapped out. Of course my mother board was also in pretty shakey shape.

I have Vista. It really sucks, because so many things aren't compatible with it >.< I had an mp3 player but I couldn't install it on my computer because it's pretty old and doesn't go with Vista.
