Prequal to FFXII?
Who else, other then me, would like to see a prequal to FFXII, a la FFVII's various prequals?
Peronsally, i would love to see a game with Reddas as the main character- he seems to have an interesting and rich backstory (more so than some of the main characters, in fact, but thats not saying much), so i think that would be great.
Would you like to see a prequal, and, if so, what would it revolve around?
Like games, humour, lively communitys and paunchy homosexual men

I honestly can't think of a single aspect of FFXII's backstory that would be worth making a game about. I'd rather just see another self-contained game set in Ivalice with its own history, a la Vagrant Story.
maybe they could have a bit more of a rasler adventure with basch.
or play as Judge Ffamran and how he became a pirate, got the strahl and met Fran and embarked on his current life. that would be an ok game i think

I'd like to see the Zodiac Braves story at the time of St. Ajora. It'd be interesting to see how the Espers were freed to become Lucavi. It'd be a good way to bridge the story of FFXII and FFT.
No,Revenant Wings is enough for me.
I wouldn't mind a prequel with a Trinity Sight system ala Suikoden III, with characters in Rozzaria, Archades and Dalmasca.. more intricate plots and character development and history instead of endless dungeon crawling.

Gabranth's story (how he rose to judgeship and eventually gained the rank of judge magister) would be cool, seeing as how he's like the mascot to the game.
More on Lord Rasler would be cool...
And a game all about Raithwall that explained EVERYTHING in XII would probably be a top idea.

More about Lord Rassler, i think, would be great. Despite the fact that hes supposed to be a main character, we know nothing about him. I would love to know more about his life, and to have his relasionship with Ashe fully explored also.
However, i'm not sure if a game centered around him would be all that great. He's young and it dosn't seem like he has much of a story to tell. Mabye as a side-story in a game about Reddas or Batheier or Gaberanth.
Also, another idea, more about Nabudis before it was destoryed. I'm not sure if this is correct (appartently i wasn't paying much atention during the game), but didn't Gaberanth and Basch come from Nabudis? If so, this would fit perfectly with a game about Gaberanth, as well as having some more about Reddas as Judge Zecht and his and Gaberanth's rivalry, and mabye Balthier as Judge Ffamran. Then there could be more about how Balthier met Fran also, and how he fround the Strall.
Also, with all this about Judges, i'd also like to see more about...the judges! I'd like to see the a rivalry develop between Drace and Bergon, and mabye a underlying alliance between Drace and Zargabaath, as the events in the game hinted towards such things.
This would make a great fan-fiction.

Gabranth and Zecht had a rivalry?
EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.
I have no idea, but from the way they spoke atop the Pharos, it sounded like there was no friendship between them.
In any case, it would be interesting to find out there relationship.
PS: This, atcually, was one of my favorite parts of XII: because character development and info about there past is minimal, it allows anyone with a hint of imagaination to dream up there own storys, and come to there own conclusions , such as the ones i have made above.

Yeah, six years before XII is a pretty interesting period. Balthier and Cid still talk, and Balthier is about to be made Judge. Landis still exist (possibly) and Basch / Gabranth are still in there. Rassler lives in Nabudis which is a vibrant city. Ashe has several older brothers and is not in line for the throne.
No one knows about Nethicite and Giruvegan. Rozarria and Archades compete but not too seriously. The Nabradia and Dalmasca kingdoms are still around and Bhujerba is an independent territory (or is it Dalmasca's ?).
Fran is still with the viera, or maybe she already left and will meet Balthier soon. Mjrn is on Eruyt still. Reks is the leader of a bunch of street urchins who lost or will lose their parents to a deadly plague.
Anyhow, there's tons of interesting stuff to explore in fan fiction or RP

i actually thought they were at least mutually respected, Zecht saying "it's been too long, Gabranth..." at Pharos.
And I thought that there might possibly be a romantic link between Zargabaath and Drace... He seemed to have an outburst "your majesty, i beg you to reconsider" that although is a testament to his character, but seemed like his uncontrolled emotional reaction to Drace's sentencing.
