    Edge Magazine reports that a trusted source has confirmed the next Animal Crossing Wii title to be a massively-multiplayer online game. The publication offers no further details on the project.

    Nintendo has in the past confirmed that Animal Crossing for Wii has long been in development and would go online, but it has never offered specifics beyond that.

    An MMO-style Animal Crossing game would, of course, make perfect sense, as the franchise has always revolved around community features and functioned on a virtual city.
