During the Lunar Base incident we see the flood of monsters heading towards Galbadia(not Esthar).
How do you explain that?

The flood of monster that was shot from the moon headed towards Tear's Point where the Lunatic Pandora was station at. It's not Galbadia.
It looked like Galbadia from the view from space but...
1. it showed galbadia from space but they went to tears point
2. a screw up by square
Most likely a screw-up, although in Square's defense, Adel's original plan (before she was imprisoned) for victory in the Sorceress War was to defeat Galbadia by using the Lunatic Pandora to cause a Lunar Cry at Galbadia, so maybe they just confused themselves. . .

I remember playing through that. You should pay closer attention next time.
Sephiro this here.
Well, what we see in space isn't what is actually happening, you know, cause the distant is very big and unmeasureable. I have just seen it now and repeated it many time. The flood is actually falling near the south of Esthar not Galbadia, and I think the south of Esthar from space means Tear's point on the ground.
I think!

I've not saw that sequence in a long time but remember when you watch footage from real space, you can see one half of the planet if your far enough away and travelling the distance of say, the american continent to the african continent wouldnt take a very long time.
