Help! Can't rename file

Ok, I ripped some songs off of a cd my friend gave me to add some more songs on his soundclick, and it won't let me rename them or the folder. I can hit rename, and name it but then it says i need permission then I hit continue, then keeps saying try again, need permission. What can I do to fix it. I know it ain't no copyright thing because it was a burned cd straight out of the studio.

When you copy stuff from a CD to your HD they come as READ ONLY. Go to "attributes" or "properties" and click the read only off.

Then it will let you rename them
