Does she really have a name or she is just one of the important nameless character in the series?

Stupidly, she is never named, despite the fact she has a prominent realtion with a playable character (Zell).
It's long standing FF tradition, particularly noticeable in FFT and FFX.
In the other games, Square could have at least named the ones who "matterd" - I'd say the Liberian matterd. Like I say she was ascoiated with a playable character.
I think the name was not revealed for a reason. She is part of a sub-plot that could be considered subtly comical. "Library girl with a pigtail" is a bit long and makes for a relaxed epithet for the girl, to emphasize that it's not a crucial or dead serious piece of the story. Most things have a reason![]()
Maybe that is her name and she's sick and tired of everybody going, "Yeah, but what's your real name?" and then replying "It IS my real name!" She's probly very distraught over the entire situation. You're all insensitive.
Her name is still unknown... yet we can consider that she is an unamed npc.
The world of silence maybe a cold and bitter one; like the deep wastes of the arctic regions, it is fit for neither man nor beast. Holding one’s tongue may be prudent, but it is an act of rejection; silence build walls – and walls are symbols of failure.![]()
Why not make up a name for her?I think I called her Lisa.
"I work in one of those humble call centres... Apparently, what we're doing at the moment is 'sprinkling our magic along the way'. It's a call centre, not Hogwarts." ~ Caroline Garlick, Ayrshire, BBC News Magazine

Everytime this topic comes up I am always reminded of Kuno's decription of Ranma-chan as 'the tree-bourne pig-tailed kettle girl'.![]()
:(
It would've been nice if they'd named her, or at least included her name at some point. I mean, because she was a fairly minor character aside from her relationship with Zell, I doubt many people would've remembered her by name other than 'girl in the library,' but if they'd told us the name at some point towards the end of the game, I would've been happy enough.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
