Being a household name isn't as important to me as the regard and respect of colleagues within the industry, but it would still be nice to create images that make such an impact that they penetrate the mainstream.
no, in fact i have not, famous photographers isn't something i hear about in my life. mind you, i am quite sheltered in many ways, but i'm sure most simple people like me (no sarcasm intended) don't know much about the world of photographers, or modern photography...but it is a young artform/advertising medium so maybe in a couple of hundred years there will be more photographers that are as widely known as say picasso or the like.
within the community i'm sure being known means you're great, and that's a great thing to want to be so good luck.
