Word help?

Does anyone know how to get rid of those paragraph symbols and dots in between words in Microsoft Word (see pic)? I accidentally pressed something and I have no idea how to get rid of them, and they're so annoying

I like having them visible so I can see where I've typed double-spaces by mistake more easily

My grammar check thing underlines those, and I'm weird and just don't like so much stuff (whatever I type plus all the extra dots and paragraph symbols) in the document as I'm working
