Pulse Ammo

I'm trying to get some pulse ammo so I can get Squalls Lionheart. I have 10 refined from Laser Cannons. Where do I find Energy Crystals, Laser Cannons, or Power Generators? This is driving me insane! I've killed at least 20 Blitz' and nothing yet!

I'm not very good at the card game and I don't have any of my good cards since I refined them all. Is there another place to fight those monsters/

what disc are you on?

not good. i usually get the energy crystals during disc 3 while im maxing every one prior to the strike on lunatic pandora. in esthar there a guy sitting on the railing im not sure on the exact location but hes right next to a station dropoff

anyway the guy is a elynole and he reappears every time you change scenes so kick his ass for up to 4 crystals and then keep doing it for as many as you want.

hopefully you have a save point from 3 after the lunar cry

some say that you can get it on disc one but thats too much work for me and i usually had the weapons completed before i go for the time compression.

oh man, if i knew that he came back i would have a ton of these things! Too bad for me though, i left disc 3 at like level 70 and I've already maxed then out...not sure what I'll do. Thanks though.

you can still get em on disk 4.. Fight Ruby Dragons at ultemicha's place with Rare Item equiped on abililties they give energy crystals away...

You can also fly the ragnarok to island closest to hell or heaven and defeat monsters there for energy crystals..

The chance of a Blitz dropping a Power Generator is about 1/256. I wouldn't recommend using that method. I'd recommend using the Card Mod method.

shame. The one thing i hate about VIII is if you want weapons early or by a certain point it takes some planning

I thought you had to Mug a Power Generator from a Blitz, and it was the rarest steal. If it were a rare drop, then the Rare Item ability would make it easier.

Right, my mistake. The chance of Mugging it is 1/256.
