everyone has different opinions, i say play VII or VI first

If I was like Cloud I don't think I would have taken that test.

    FFIX.

    FFX-2 is terrible.

    *Awaits rabid fanboy/girl*

FFX is good though. As are FFVII and VIII.

    But get FFIX

dont buy ff X-2 for the stoyline(7 and 9) but for the battles. Square was having a good day when they made the chain system. But yeah 7 and 9 for story and 10 for story and sphere grid fun.

Seven will won your soul. Buy it, if not, VI and IX are fine purchases. As are IV and X.

Either FFVI or FFVII are great places to start.

You can't go wrong with FFIX. FFVII is pretty good. FFVIII suffers from an underdeveloped supporting cast and a poorly paced love story (although others obviously disagree). The game play in FFVIII is pretty awesome, but I wouldn't play it for the story.

FFX has a decent story as well, although I wouldn't rank it too high. At least the character development in that game was fairly balanced.

FFVII has the best storyline, but i'd recommend you ease into its complexity by starting with FFVI or FFIX.

Final Fantasy VIII was pretty good up to a point... when it got really contrived. Still, it's a pretty good game.

I actually liked the Final Fantasy X-2 storyline; it was the only thing that kept me playing it. But I'd say Final Fantasy IX has the best storyline that keeps you guessing (the first time you play it). Whilst Final Fantasy VII is an insanely good, it's a bit predictable... planet ends... man runs amok... Still pretty good, though.

If you want a love-love story, go for VIII.

If you want a more epic story, go for VII.

If you want a boring story, go for XII.

If you want a more epic story and don't mind the slightly poor graphics, VI is good.

Final Fantasy VI has outdated graphics, not poor ones. It's kinda ridiculous to say anything otherwise.

Play Final Fantasy VII or X. At your age, you'll probably be more interested in those storylines.
