Default Buying stuff online.

Lately I've become somewhat hooked on buying things online. Mainly because it's easy, and you can easily find a movie/CD/game that you've been looking for for ages in various stores. I've e.g. seriously started to search for certain GameCube games on the Internet, simply because there are not that many stores around here that sell them anymore and so it's quite convenient that you can just go online and get the game sent to your home. God bless laziness

Anyway, do you regularly shop online? If yes, what do you ususally shop for and which sites are your favourites?

My dad likes to shop online, I don't mind it and I'll probably use it a bit when I'm old enough. Lately if I order anything, it's a book; he likes to order DVDs.

I've bought several books online (BookDepository/Amazon), a couple of DVDs and three computer games (KH2, Castlevania: DoS and FFTA). I enjoy buying books onlie for myself because the prices are often cheaper and sometimes it's the only way to actually find a book that's priced reasonably that I can afford. Sometimes it's the only way I can actually find a certain book, like when I ordered Day of the Triffids the other month.

If it's an independently run, local shop and not part of a chain, I do feel guilty sometimes knowing that perhaps they need my custom more than an online dealer might, but I'm sometimes not able to justify paying their prices. Still, I enjoy doing it and don't have a problem with it. I order things for my mother online and she pays me for them so it makes things a lot more convenient for my mum who lacks a car and generally lacks the time to go shopping for books.

I buy lots of stuff online. Mainly computer stuff, DVD's/Books and albums.

It's just so much more convenient, and easier to research the product at the same time. Rather than dealing with crappy salesmen.

The only thing I hate is shipping costs to Australia, but lately it still turns out a hell of a lot cheaper than buying it in Australia. (Bought 4 books for around $150USD including shipping, when they are $100AUD each here)

Yes,i like online shoping! It's great because it's cheaper, you can find stuff that it would have been impossible to find otherwise, and (the best part) you don't come in contact with irritating salesmen!!
I'm mostly buying game related stuff, mainly from Amazon uk and Play-Asia.Also a couple of T-shirts from J!nx and J-list.
My last online order was the FFXII limited edition ost and FFVII DoC limited edition ost from GameMusic.com

I buy albums online, pretty much because amazon.com is the only place that you can find them.

I don't buy much else. Tickets, maybe?

I order things online, perhaps too much. Being in Bermuda, the diversity of product that I'm interested in is understandably low. Video stores don't bring in the stuff I want and aren't too keen on special orders (anime in particular), niche games sometimes fall through the cracks etc. Now and then I import items from the far east as well, and the only way to obtain them is online.

The places I use most often are:

Rightstuf for anime. They almost always have some kind of special going on, and the majority of my anime purchases are when things are on sale. When they have their sale, they also apply the sale to pre-order items, unlike some other similar sites, so I still have a 40%+ discount off of Special DVD 4 of Haruhi Suzumiya from a sale that was going on in August. (The DVD doesn't come out till November). I'm also a part of their $10-a-year club that gets an additional 10% discount off of everything, so for that DVD in particular whose original price is a ridiculous $59.98, I will be paying $32.40 for it. Anyway, sales are nice yet evil at the same time, because I often buy a lot of stuff.

Play Asia is my usual source for imports, though I've used lik-sang and renchi.com and yesasia.com and ncsx before.

Amazon I use for general purpose purchases, or I would check there if Rightstuf doesn't have an older anime immediately available. Sometimes for the older stuff, Amazon can get me cheaper prices. I occasionally pre-order games on there and some other random apparel and books. I'm currently eyeing up a very nice watch for a very nice price...

There's a local service in Bermuda that utilizes a U.S. address for these kinds of orders, because many sites do not ship to Bermuda. What it does is they gather all shipments at the US address and fly them in overnight every day. This adds a proportionate amount of cost to every shipment, as we have to deal with outrageous duty charges and of course the cost of freight, so things are still expensive (for example, my $32 DVD may still end up costing me *over* $60 by itself once I get it in my hands). However, this company uses a reward system that accumulates points, and every quarter (of the year) the points translate into Amazon gift certificates. It's a pretty decent tradeoff.

The majority of my online purchases are anime though. Particularly when there's a good deal going on at Rightstuf.

Hats! I was actually browsing a site yesterday xD

I want those. xD that site is really overpriced, there's probably cheaper online actually, but I had their card for some reason. I haven't bought any yet but I'm just waiting until I feel not-guilty enough to buy them because I just had a big shopping spree over the weekend

The last thing I bought on-line was scanner+camera.

Usually it's just things I see that I would have to go to the store for otherwise but I could just buy it right there right now. Or it's a fantastic deal.

I've been ordering a lot of fabric lately; nuno-plus.com has really cute fabrics of Snow White and Alice in Wonderland characters, and I should have some soon.

I like to buy birthday presents from dreamkitty.com.

    =O
