of course since even mary sues rarely append their middle names, this was shortened to merely Ruby Lapiz by the time fanfics were written and rp forums were joined.

Those forumgoers shortened it further to things such as 'ruby' 'rubes' 'woobah' 'rhubarb' and many others, however, the one that stuck was a mirror of the nicknames that the girl herself gave out to everyone else, 'rubah'.
