Cursed Shield?
I have the Cursed Shield, I've been fighting for the past 3 hours and I'm pretty sure I've been in 255 fights, and now I'm wondering if there is anything else I need to do to turn it into the Paladin Shield? I don't know if this has been addressed or not, but I figure someone knows what has to be done.

All I did was fight fight fight. You'll know when it's a Paladin Shield right away when you enter a battle, the counter won't be there.
Just go to the island where Cid's house is located and fight. You barely have to do anything at all.
And it takes a lot longer to fight 255 battles than you would expect.
1) Equip it on some sap.
2) Write down how much exp they currently have, and add 256 to it.
3) Go to the Solitary Island and fight the little mice that kill themselves.
4) Gain 1 exp from each fight.
5) When the exp written down matches that of your character, you've dispelled the shield.

I always have someone equipped with the Cursed Shield and a Ribbon and play through the game.
can anyone tell me where to get the cursed shield

As a side note don't have Gogo equip it since he/she/it can't uncurse it.

Yeah, so did I. I would occasionally go fight some random battles just to make it go a bit quicker, but there's no need to go out of the way to uncurse it if you can just carry on as before.
