This contest is wrong. I did not see one Marx Brothers film on this list so it is horrible and stupid.
I would have loved to have seen something like Duck Soup on it but who would have voted for it in the end anyway (well aside from us)
A deserved winner anyway, The Godfather is a great film. You have three or four actors there who probably did their best work (or close to their best) in that film (Al Pacino, John Cazale, Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton in case you're wondering - and then there's the likes of Marlon Brando, James Caan and Talia Shire all on excellent form), and it's one of the reasons why the 70s was so excellent for movies.

Haha yeah, it's totally a cliché, but so is LotR.
I'm just glad Star Wars and LotR didn't win. Wouldn't say godfather is the best film out there, but it's quite alright.
