Angra Mainyu: Your Tips

I need some help on beating Angra Mainyu and I haven't got Catnip so any strategies besides that one would be most welcome

I'd never reccomend using Catnip.

Takes the effort right out of X-2.


That's my thought though.
Have a dedicated healer, that's for sure... and quite a few nukes... as Angra is multiple enemies.

I reccomend Nuking items (If you lack a Black Mage) like Fire Gem.

Have one as an alchemist and one as a dark knight.
The other can be anything but another dark knight would be good.

Have the dark knights use darkness and have the alchemist mix final wall (chocobo wing + anything) and mega potion (hi potion x2) and you should beat him easy.

One of the strategies I've heard was to have 2 or more Dark Knights and constantly use Darkness to kill his left and right parts and damage his main part at the same time. Of course, if you do this, it will probably be a very dry and dull fight and take over 30 minutes.

ya I had 2 dark knights on my team and paine as the alchemist i never knew the final wall thing. hmm i'll try it again. itsa real pain to keep his other parts dead long enough to do any damage though :S

I beat Angra Mainyu finally. damn it took long though. I used Unthinkable's strategy (thanx a bunch)

Yeah it does take ages, for me it took 20 mins.

The secret to beating Angra in 2 minutes is to attack it from chapters 1-4. He can't kill your party so if you last 5-10 turns he just teleports you a bit far away. Meanwhile you can steal Mega Elixir from him and chip away at it's HP (it keeps on going down). When you fight him on chapter 5 he's easier than a flan

Are you sure his HP gets lower? Cause when I fought him the first time I had done damage to him but it still took a long time. Iunno. If his HP keeps going down Renmiri then won't I run the risk of killing him before chapter 5 :o

I inflicted damage until the target's hp reached zero. It seemed to work.
