    That's the entire point. Pokemon was built around the whole community thing. Trading and battling with friends is why people play the game.

    Not so much for Final Fantasy Tactics, however. xP

    Well....for those who don't have friends with FFT: WotL, you can play with other persons on the web, ignoring the place where you are. It may come in handy when you want to get all the stuff in the game.
    I haven't tried it yet, since I have some pals with the FFT game too, but if someone here wants a hand with melee or cooperative game, let me know. =)

    The Amazing Spiderman is right. Xlink Kai will allow you to mimic the effects of a Wi-Fi connection over vast distances; thus, you can play Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions with other gamers around the world.

    Please keep in mind that you must modify the firmware on your PSP in order to make use of that program.
